why SURE?

Presenting your research and creative work in a formal setting is a mark of true accomplishment in your undergraduate studies. It is also outstanding preparation for graduate and professional school applications and other future presentations. You may include your presentation on resumes and graduate or professional school and fellowship applications. You will also gain valuable experience in articulating ideas about your research or creative project through poster presentations involving both verbal and graphic forms of explanation. The audience at the Showcase includes not only UCF faculty, students, and staff, but also alumni and the greater Central Florida community, all from a variety of fields of study, industries, and professions. This diverse audience provides an excellent forum for networking and conversations about career paths and future educational opportunities. The top Showcase projects will be awarded substantial scholarships donated by the UCF Student Government Association and by private contributors. The purpose of the scholarships is to recognize undergraduates' research and creative accomplishments. Additionally, all Showcase presenters will receive a certificate of participation.
