Mentor of the Year
Nominate your Mentor for the 2008 Mentor of the Year Award sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Research and the Student Undergraduate Research Council (SURC). Nomination letters will be accepted until March 7, 2008 at 5pm and should be emailed in word or PDF format to SURC. The award will be presented by SURC at the Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence awards ceremony on April 4, 2008.
Letters of nomination should include:
- Nominator's information including: name, phone number, physical address, email address, major, and length of undergraduate research.
- Mentor's name and department.
- Letter should address the following questions:
- What specific qualities make your mentor a perfect candidate for Mentor of the Year?
- How has your mentor affected your undergraduate education at UCF?
- How has your mentor assisted you in overcoming obstacles in your research?
- How has your mentor helped you mature as a student? - Any other pertinent information about your mentor.
